The system uses a pre chamber jet for ignition and integrates an ammonia to hydrogen generation system to maintain thermal efficiency similar to traditional diesel engines. This technology targets long haul commercial vehicles as a zero carbon alternative to diesel. Thermal efficiency on par with diesel is a big claim. I want to see the actual brake thermal efficiency percentages and how they handle NOx emissions. Ammonia combustion usually produces high NOx unless the catalyst system is massive.

The real question is whether this counts as zero carbon under current reporting standards. If the ammonia is grey or blue, the carbon is just shifted upstream. We need to see the procurement rules for the fuel to know if this actually hits the Dual Carbon goals.
