Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (YOFC) has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 13.12% and cut total carbon emissions by over 86,000 tonnes. The company attributes these gains to its SmartCarbon tracking platform and improvements in manufacturing efficiency. Beyond emissions, the company reported a significant drop in water consumption intensity and an increase in green electricity use. YOFC is targeting a 50% reduction in emissions intensity by 2028 compared to 2021 levels, aiming for full carbon neutrality by 2055.
