Optical fiber manufacturer YOFC has reported a 13.12% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity for 2025. The company achieved this through its SmartCarbon tracking platform and the implementation of automated, digitally managed manufacturing facilities. Beyond operational cuts, YOFC is developing hollow-core optical fiber with lower attenuation. This technology aims to reduce the energy required for high-capacity data transmission as AI workloads increase global demand for network infrastructure.
