Yinson Production has priced $1.458 billion in senior secured notes to refinance debt on the Agogo FPSO offshore Angola. The notes, issued by Yinson Azalea Production, mature in about 13.3 years and carry a fixed coupon of 6.517%. Proceeds will pay down existing debt, fund reserve accounts, and cover transaction costs. Agogo operates under a 15-year bareboat charter with Azule Energy at Block 15/06. It can produce 120,000 barrels of oil per day. Yinson says this is the largest FPSO project bond to date and the first outside Brazil, which widens the market for infrastructure investors. The FPSO also carries emissions reduction technology, including a closed flare system, combined cycle power, all-electric drives, and the first pilot post-combustion carbon capture system on an FPSO. Yinson estimates these measures cut emissions by up to 27%.
