Yara Brasil is deploying low-carbon fertilizers and digital tools to reduce emissions in the agricultural sector. Through the Yara Climate Choice portfolio, the company uses renewable energy and carbon capture to lower the carbon footprint of crops like potatoes and coffee by up to 40 percent. These initiatives focus on reducing Scope 3 emissions for global food companies and helping Brazilian farmers meet international environmental standards, such as the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. The strategy combines renewable ammonia and biomethane to move away from natural gas dependency in fertilizer production.
