Yang Ming Marine Transport and PSA International signed an MOU to create a joint carbon inset package covering both ocean and land transport. The partnership combines Yang Ming's cleaner shipping initiatives with PSA's electrified terminals and logistics network. They plan to use a digital book-and-claim framework with emissions measurement, verification, and tracking to help cargo owners reduce Scope 3 emissions across the supply chain. Yang Ming reported a 63.32% carbon intensity reduction by end of 2025 versus its 2008 baseline. The companies aim to extend Yang Ming's EcoSea+ service beyond ocean navigation into terminal and landside activities. The deal gives customers a single verified offering for transport emissions reductions, with accountability built around digital records and independent verification.
