Yamaha Motor unveiled two new electric scooters at EICMA 2026: the NMAX E and XENTER E. Both models feature a 3.5 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery, with ranges of 104 km and 108 km respectively on the WMTC cycle. They come with a newly designed eAxle power unit, three riding modes, a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, and a reverse assist for easier maneuvering. Production will be handled by Yamaha Motor Vietnam, targeting global markets.

The 3.5 kWh battery is small, but for scooters that's fine. The range figures are WMTC, so real-world will be lower. The fact they use a fixed battery and not swappable might be a concern for some markets. But for home charging, it's okay.
