Wyesham 50-unit affordable housing scheme starts with low carbon, EPC A homes
monmouthshirebeacon.co.ukA 50-unit affordable housing development has broken ground at Kymin Rise in Wyesham, Monmouthshire. The scheme, built by Awen and Edenstone Group, will deliver a mix of one to four bedroom homes for social rent, all designed to achieve an EPC A rating and net zero carbon operation. The homes will use highly insulated timber frames manufactured in Wales. Construction includes surface water management systems to protect the nearby Wye Valley ecosystem, and the project commits 63,255 pounds in community benefits. Awen, which manages around 4,000 homes across Monmouthshire, Newport, and Torfaen, expects the development to ease local housing shortages while keeping energy costs down for tenants.
