Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is establishing the Central Massachusetts Climate-tech Hub Incubator following a $5 million award from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. The facility will provide seven new research labs for startups focusing on carbon-negative materials, waste upcycling, and sustainable infrastructure. This initiative is part of a broader 10 year state strategy to turn Massachusetts into a global center for climate innovation. The hub will combine academic research with industrial partnerships to accelerate the deployment of clean energy technologies and provide specialized workforce training.
