Worldly adds Aii Energy and Carbon Benchmark to Facility Data Manager for mill-level emissions tracking
ecotextile.comApparel Impact Institute (Aii) is embedding its Energy and Carbon Benchmark tool into Worldly's Facility Data Manager (FDM). The integration gives brands, retailers, and textile manufacturers a more process-specific view of energy use and CO2 emissions at the mill level, breaking down consumption by primary fuel source. This move is meant to strengthen Scope 3 emissions data for the apparel sector, where accurate supplier-level information has been a persistent gap. The benchmark tool is expected to help companies identify where energy efficiency improvements and fuel switching can cut emissions most effectively. By placing this directly in Worldly's platform, Aii aims to make the data easier to collect, compare, and act on across supply chains. For mills, it could mean clearer expectations from buyers and a more standardized way to report performance. For brands, it offers a pathway to more credible decarbonization claims based on actual facility data rather than industry averages.
