World Taekwondo has reached carbon neutral status for 2024, reporting a 23% reduction in emissions compared to 2022. The organization recorded 562.92 tonnes of CO2e, with over 70% of the footprint stemming from international air travel and hotel stays. To neutralize remaining emissions, the federation invested in certified projects targeting the reduction of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) gases. Alongside this, they launched a global sustainability course for athletes and coaches to integrate environmental governance into sport management.
