Volt Carbon signs vermiculite toll processing deal with 40,000 tonne minimum annual volume using patented air classifier

The deal requires a minimum annual volume of 40,000 metric tonnes and guarantees at least USD 4 million in annual revenue. Volt will use its patented Air Classifier technology for the processing and will also receive a 2.5% equity stake in Northern Ore. The agreement also covers graphite processing. Northern Ore has identified a high-grade graphite occurrence on its property, with preliminary samples averaging about 49.8% graphite. Volt plans to build a larger commercial Air Classifier over the next 18 months, with capital costs estimated at USD 750,000. Commercial operations are expected to ramp up during 2027 and reach full throughput in 2028. The deal includes a commitment from Northern Ore to supply at least 10,000 tonnes of graphite material annually for processing.
