Volt Carbon signs first commercial Air Classifier deal for vermiculite processing with $4M minimum annual revenue
stocktitan.netVolt Carbon Technologies has signed its first commercial toll processing agreement with Northern Ore Resources, deploying its patented Air Classifier for vermiculite processing. The deal guarantees a minimum of 40,000 tonnes per year of vermiculite and a minimum annual revenue of USD $4 million. Volt will also receive a 2.5% equity stake in Northern Ore and a framework for future graphite processing, including at least 10,000 tonnes per year of graphite feed. The company estimates about $750,000 in capital expenditure and expects to ramp commercial operations between 2027 and 2028. This is the first commercial use of Volt's Air Classifier technology, which separates materials by density without water or chemicals. The agreement also includes a framework for equal profit sharing on value-added graphite products. However, the graphite test work is still preliminary and not yet representative of a full resource. Volt expects only modest processing revenue for the rest of 2026, with full throughput not expected until 2028. The deal provides a clear revenue floor but execution risk remains around equipment commissioning and customer material deliveries.
