VOC Port in Thoothukudi, India, has launched PortGPT, an enterprise AI app for port operations, and released its first Sustainability Report. The report shows renewable energy now covers 94% of the port's energy use, net carbon emissions are down 45%, and carbon intensity per tonne of cargo has dropped nearly 50% over four years. The port also signed an MoU with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya for research and skill development in sustainable maritime logistics. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal highlighted VOC Port as a model for green maritime development. An IIM Calcutta case study on the port's hydrogen pivot and green transition was also released.
