Vietnam has established the National Blue Carbon Action Partnership (NBCAP) to turn coastal ecosystems like mangroves and seagrass beds into viable climate finance assets. Supported by the UK government, UNDP, and the World Economic Forum, the initiative aims to coordinate policy and science to attract green investment. The partnership focuses on scaling nature-based solutions to increase carbon sequestration and strengthen coastal resilience. By aligning government agencies and private banks, Vietnam seeks to create investable pipelines for blue carbon projects to meet international climate commitments.
