Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade says one month of nationwide E10 gasoline use is not enough to prove the biofuel has improved air quality, despite early signs of lower emissions. Officials want longer monitoring with more frequent measurements before drawing firm conclusions about E10's impact on pollution. Early data from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City shows some pollutant reductions. In Hanoi, PM2.5 fell 31% and PM10 dropped 29.6% after the June 1 rollout. Ho Chi Minh City saw broader declines including CO down 65% and NO2 down 68%. But the ministry notes that weather, traffic, and other factors could explain the changes. They plan to expand monitoring stations and combine air quality data with fuel consumption and meteorological information for a more robust assessment.
