Verra has launched its next-generation registry powered by S&P Global Energy, migrating over 5,900 projects, 10,500 account holders, and 1.4 billion credits onto the new platform. The upgrade integrates the registry with the Verra Project Hub so users can track project status from pipeline listing through issuance and retirement. Future updates will add Article 6 functionality and API connectivity for exchanges and brokers. Separately, Verra is preparing to issue carbon credits to three Indonesian forestry projects after the country operationalized its national carbon market. The move shows how independent crediting programs and domestic registries can work together to scale emission reductions and channel climate finance to local communities. The newsletter also covers methodology revisions for biochar, cookstoves, and concrete production, plus a project spotlight on FUNDAECO's REDD+ project in Guatemala.
