Researchers analyzed remote sensing, land use, and meteorological data from 2001 to 2022 across four subregions. Key findings include that leaf area index and solar radiation drive NPP, while population density reduces it. The study recommends converting abandoned farmland and mining sites to near-natural vegetation and connecting isolated protected areas to boost ecological resilience and support dual-carbon goals.
