VCM adds UK and European exchange participants to strengthen global carbon credit market connectivity
tradingview.comThe Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company (VCM), backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and Tadawul Group, has onboarded four new exchange participants from the UK and Europe: EOS, Tramontana, Sentinel Earth, and Altitude. The announcement came during London Climate Action Week and follows earlier expansion into Asia and North America. These participants cover project development, brokerage, advisory, and corporate engagement, which adds liquidity and geographic reach to VCM's platform. VCM launched Saudi Arabia's first voluntary carbon credit exchange in November 2024. The platform uses institutional-grade infrastructure, price discovery tools, and multiple trading mechanisms including auctions and request-for-quote. The new partnerships aim to connect international carbon credit supply with regional and global demand, supporting companies that need transparent market mechanisms for their climate strategies. The exchange has already auctioned over 2.2 million tons of voluntary carbon credits in previous sales.
