Vaulted Deep, a U.S. carbon removal and subsurface waste disposal company, announced a $35 million debt facility from Mediobanca, arranged by CFP Energy. The funds will support expansion of its durable carbon removal operations, with proceeds going to bring additional organic waste disposal sites online and invest in its AI-Accelerated Site Development Platform. This platform uses proprietary geology, regulatory, and waste-supply analytics to shorten the timeline from site identification to commercial operations. The company reported delivering over 20,000 tons of carbon removal in the first half of 2026, surpassing its total 2025 deliveries, and has increased weekly waste throughput sixfold since 2023. The debt facility is backed by long-term offtake contracts, including commitments from Frontier buyers, and supplements $48 million in equity capital and an $8 million XPRIZE award. This financing strengthens Vaulted Deep's capital stack and supports its national expansion, though it also increases execution and project-delivery risk typical of infrastructure growth.
