Vaso Global raises over 5 million pounds for low-carbon homes from recycled glass

Vaso Global, a housebuilding company based in Dumfries, has raised over 5 million pounds in funding to scale its low-carbon modular housing technology. The company turns waste glass into composite panels for homes and buildings, aiming to cut construction time from 33 weeks to 10 weeks on an upcoming Scottish project. Investors include PXN Ventures, Scottish Enterprise, UK Research Innovation, and Eco Group. The funding will support a new 60,000 square foot manufacturing site in Dumfries. Vaso Global claims its panels reduce waste and carbon emissions compared to traditional building methods. The company is targeting the UK housing shortage with faster, cleaner construction. The technology has been backed by the UKRI Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings at the University of Edinburgh.
