Valmet and Linde are collaborating to deploy electrically driven carbon capture systems in pulp and paper mills. Using Linde's HISORP technology, the solution removes CO2 without the heavy steam requirements typical of traditional thermal capture methods. This shift toward electrification allows industrial plants to integrate carbon capture more easily, especially in facilities with limited excess heat. By utilizing renewable electricity, these mills can reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining production efficiency.
