Valmet and Linde are collaborating to deploy electrically driven carbon capture for the pulp and paper industry. By using Linde's HISORP technology, mills can separate CO2 without relying on steam or thermal energy, making the process viable for facilities with limited excess heat. This electrification approach allows industrial plants to integrate carbon capture using renewable electricity. The partnership focuses on combining flue gas conditioning with mill-wide integration to help heavy industry reduce emissions and move toward carbon neutrality.
