Utilita Launches Sustainability Strategy, First Report, and Live Carbon Dashboard for UK Energy Transition
sustainabilitymag.comUtilita has published its first Sustainability Strategy Report and launched a live carbon dashboard to track emissions in real time. The plan is built around five pillars covering a fair energy transition, data-driven clean growth, a practical net zero route, sustainability in daily business decisions, and resilient operations with responsible supply chains. The supplier split its operational emissions into four groups: sites, fleet, suppliers, and people. Company buildings and vehicles are aiming for net zero by 2030, supplier engagement will be linked to UK Sustainability Reporting Standards by 2030, and employee travel will use internal carbon pricing. Customer electricity remains aligned with the UK's 2050 target as the grid decarbonises. Utilita also highlighted its 95% smart meter uptake and customer programs like 15 Ways to Save and High5. The strategy came out of a double materiality assessment aligned with ESRS and CSRD, which identified 22 topics across environmental, social, and governance areas.
