A Princeton University research team has developed an experimental tiny home made from straw to demonstrate how agricultural waste can sequester carbon. The project aims to find sustainable alternatives to concrete and bricks, which contribute significantly to global carbon dioxide emissions. Straw is an abundant, affordable insulator that often ends up being burned, releasing greenhouse gases. By integrating it into building structures, architects can turn a waste product into a tool for climate mitigation.
