Agreed. There is a huge gap between using AI to find a better material and actually deploying that material at scale. Without a clear carbon price or subsidy for the capture side, the most efficient material in the world still won't get built.

That is the main point. Finding a material that works in a lab is one thing. Finding one that can survive 10,000 hours of industrial use without degrading is where the real cost is. AI can simulate the chemistry, but it cannot simulate the grime of a real factory.
