Usha Yarns Gets Fullerton Carbon Action Fund Investment for Recycled Yarn Capacity Expansion
indiantextilemagazine.inUsha Yarns, a producer of recycled yarns from post-industrial cotton and recycled PET, has secured a growth equity investment from the Fullerton Carbon Action Fund. The fund backs mid-market companies in Emerging Asia to accelerate decarbonization. Usha Yarns converts textile waste into yarns sold under its Puneh brand, with pre-coloring at the recycling stage to reduce downstream dyeing costs. The investment will be used to expand recycled yarn capacity, improve feedstock traceability, and supply more high-quality recycled yarns to global apparel brands. As brands move from sustainability pledges to binding requirements, demand for verified recycled materials is expected to outpace supply. Usha Yarns is one of the few producers operating at consistent, brand-grade quality at scale.
