The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has launched a strategy to reach carbon neutrality by 2030. The plan focuses on scaling solar energy across the campus, using applied research and student innovation to drive the transition. Initial progress includes three facilities already running entirely on solar power, including a metro station and a recycle unit. The university is now working with Kahramaa to implement a proof of concept in campus parking lots before expanding the rollout to the entire campus.
