gna.org.ghThe UNDP and TAILG, an electric mobility company, signed an MOU in Kenya to launch the Green Mobility Centre of Excellence (GM-CoE). The partnership focuses on electric two-wheelers, gasoline-to-electric conversion, and carbon reduction projects across Africa. TAILG brings seven R&D bases and a production capacity of over 15 million units per year to the deal, with products already in 70 countries. The GM-CoE is meant to serve as a platform for technology innovation, ecosystem development, and industry incubation. TAILG will handle operations, governance, and technical exchanges. The goal is to build a sustainable green mobility industry in Africa and support regional sustainable development goals through concrete carbon reduction projects.
