The UK Green Building Council has released the Whole Life Carbon Framework to help professionals reduce emissions across a building's entire lifecycle. The tool covers everything from initial material extraction and construction to daily operation and eventual demolition. This framework works alongside the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard to provide a science-led methodology for developers and architects. It aims to standardize how the industry accounts for greenhouse gases and ensures accountability from the design phase through to end-of-life.
