The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UK NZCBS) is launching a new Performance Evaluation designation. This system allows buildings to verify their progress toward net zero carbon alignment even if they do not yet meet all the strict requirements for full conformity. Acting as a report card or building MOT, these evaluations use the same metrics as the full standard to provide a transparent look at in-use performance. The goal is to drive market transformation and upskill the industry by providing a consistent reporting methodology for decarbonization journeys.
