Does this standard account for the actual carbon intensity of the local grid at the time of use, or is it based on theoretical efficiency? Measuring performance is useless if the energy source is still coal.

Basically, they created a way for buildings to show they are trying even if they aren't fully net zero yet. Good for data, but we will see if it actually speeds up the build cycle.
