UK-funded climate accelerator selects 11 Pakistani firms for low-carbon investment in 2026
pakistantoday.com.pkThe UK-backed Climate Finance Accelerator Pakistan has chosen 11 Pakistani businesses for its 2026 cohort. The program helps climate-focused firms secure investment and scale solutions in energy, transport, waste, agriculture, buildings, and financial inclusion. It has supported over 230 projects globally, unlocking more than $500 million in total investment, with up to $40 million mobilized in Pakistan so far. Selected companies were picked for their potential to generate climate benefits while supporting Pakistan's low-carbon transition. The accelerator provides training, mentorship, and investor connections to help these firms grow and attract funding. This initiative is part of broader UK efforts to boost green finance in Pakistan, including a recent $35 million Green Compact.
