UK Dairy Carbon Network farmers to share practical emissions reduction lessons at Dairy Conference 2026
farminglife.comThe UK Dairy Carbon Network is taking a prominent slot at Dairy Conference 2026, with farmers Andrew Crawford and Wallace Gregg sharing how they are testing nutrition, breeding, and forage changes to cut emissions on commercial dairy farms. The afternoon session, chaired by AgriSearch's Jason Rankin, also includes AFBI's Steven Morrison and Trouw Nutrition's Jim Uprichard on feeding for sustainability. The project covers more than 50 farms across the UK and is funded by DEFRA, with the Northern Ireland network managed by AgriSearch. Conference organizers say the goal is to show how emissions reductions can work within commercially viable systems. The event takes place on 20 October at CAFRE's Greenmount Campus in Antrim and is free to attend with registration.
