UK-backed Climate Finance Accelerator selects 11 climate businesses in Pakistan for 2026 cohort
thenews.pkThe UK's Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) has chosen 11 Pakistani businesses for its 2026 cohort, aiming to help them secure investment and scale solutions for the country's low-carbon transition. The selected companies work across energy, transport, waste, agriculture, buildings, and financial inclusion sectors. Since launching in 2022, CFA Pakistan has supported 22 projects and mobilized around US$40 million in investment. Each business will receive up to five months of tailored support from financial, technical, and inclusion experts. They will also pitch at a climate investor event in October 2026. The program is part of broader UK efforts to boost climate resilience and private sector investment in Pakistan, which faces high vulnerability to climate change.
