Students from the Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management have created Dhyuti Jala Shodhan, a solar-powered water purifier. The device is specifically designed for rural villages, using a battery backup to ensure consistent operation during poor weather conditions. The system employs a multi-stage filtration process including sediment, activated carbon, and micron filters to remove germs and impurities. This portable, low-maintenance solution was developed with support from the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology.
