Ucell and ZTE have completed a network-wide rollout of an AI-powered energy saving solution in Uzbekistan. The system uses a dual layer AI architecture to monitor real-time traffic and shut down specific network components during low-demand periods. The deployment resulted in a 10.6% increase in the network energy efficiency ratio, meaning more data is delivered per kilowatt-hour of electricity. This approach reduces operational costs and lowers the carbon footprint of the mobile infrastructure without impacting user service quality.
