AI energy saving sounds good on paper, but I want to see the actual kilowatt hour reduction per site. Does this include a shift to onsite renewables or just software optimization of the existing grid pull?
The real question is whether Uzbekistan has a regulatory framework to reward these efficiency gains. Without a carbon price or specific energy mandates, these upgrades are usually just about lowering operational costs.
Software is one thing, but the hardware maintenance in those climates is the real killer. I wonder if this AI manages cooling systems too, since that is where most of the waste happens in telco hubs.
ZTE is pushing this green network angle hard in Central Asia. It is a decent step for infrastructure, but the details on total emissions saved are missing here.
