U.S. Energy Corp has reached a final investment decision for Phase 1 of its Big Sky Carbon Hub in Montana. The project includes a processing facility designed to refine 125,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, with commercial operations targeted for early 2027. The company is currently awaiting EPA approval for its Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification plans. These approvals are critical for accessing Section 45Q tax credits, which are estimated to provide 130 million dollars in value over the first 12 years of operation.
