TÜV SÜD has opened a Global Decarbonisation Centre of Excellence in Singapore with an investment exceeding $24 million. The facility will develop digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) systems to turn regional emissions data into audit-ready carbon metrics for companies and governments. The hub focuses on Article 6 implementation, digital carbon assurance, energy transition and alternative fuels, supply chain integrity, and capacity building. It also targets fragmented verification standards across ASEAN, where carbon markets could generate up to $3 trillion in cumulative economic opportunity by 2050. The Singapore Economic Development Board is supporting the project, which coincides with 20 years of TÜV SÜD PSB operations in the country.
