Turkey is introducing a mandatory Building Life Cycle Analysis Certificate for new buildings over 10,000 square meters starting January 1, 2027. This regulation tracks greenhouse gas emissions from raw material supply and construction through to demolition and waste processing. Additionally, the government is launching a Low Carbon Building Certificate for structures that meet specific energy performance and emission standards. This move is part of a broader strategy to reach net zero emissions by 2053.
