Vaar Energi, Inpex, and Storegga are advancing the Trudvang CCS project in the North Sea. The project aims to utilize the Utsira formation to store up to nine million tonnes of CO2 per year, potentially addressing nearly 20% of Norway's annual emissions by 2029. To develop the technical and commercial framework, the project owners have partnered with Aker Solutions and Knutsen NYK Carbon Carriers. The collaboration focuses on creating an integrated value chain for CO2 transportation and offshore injection using unmanned platform concepts.
