Trinity Airways has signed a memorandum of understanding with NH Investment & Securities to cooperate on CORSIA and emissions trading. This is the first such agreement between a Korean airline and a financial firm. The partnership will focus on information exchange, joint emissions credit projects, and developing the carbon market. As a first step, Trinity purchased 20,000 tons of CORSIA-eligible carbon credits and contracted to retire them, becoming the first Korean airline to do so. The company plans to buy more credits by year-end and secure over 10% of its offset obligations by January 2028. The move signals growing engagement with carbon markets in the aviation sector.
