Trinity Airways and NH Investment sign Korea's first airline-broker CORSIA carbon credit deal
biz.chosun.comTrinity Airways signed a memorandum of understanding with NH Investment & Securities to cooperate on CORSIA offsetting and carbon credit trading. The two companies say it is the first agreement of its kind in Korea between an airline and a financial firm. The deal covers information sharing, joint projects, and a combined response to CORSIA and the domestic emissions trading system. Under the MOU, Trinity has already purchased and retired 20,000 tons of CORSIA-eligible carbon credits. Retiring credits permanently removes them from the registry. The airline also plans to buy more eligible credits by the end of 2026 to secure more than 10% of the volume it must offset by January 2028 under CORSIA Phase 1.
