Trinasolar Powers 25 MWp Bugallon Solar Project in the Philippines, Now Selling on Luzon WESM
themalaysianreserve.comTrinasolar supplied 35,350 Vertex N modules to PetroGreen's 25 MWp Bugallon Solar Power Plant in Pangasinan, Philippines. The project reached commercial operation and started trading in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market on September 5, 2026. It was developed under the Green Energy Auction Program Round 2 and is expected to generate about 51 GWh per year, offsetting roughly 36,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. Bugallon is owned by Bugallon Green Energy Corporation, a project company under Rizal Green Energy Corporation, the joint venture between PetroGreen and Japan's Taisei Corporation. The modules are n-type i-TOPCon bifacial dual-glass units rated 705W and 710W. Trinasolar says their temperature coefficient and humidity resistance fit tropical conditions. This is the latest utility-scale solar project in a Trinasolar and PetroGreen partnership that goes back to 2015, following Tarlac-2, Dagohoy, and Limbauan. It adds new generation to the Luzon grid and supports the Philippines' goal of 35 percent renewable energy in the power mix by 2030.
