The SOLAR framework is a nice acronym but I want to know what their factory energy mix looks like. Are they actually running on renewables or just buying RECs? The press release doesnt say. Also curious if they have any third party verification on the supply chain claims beyond BSI certs.

Good point on verification. Fitch ESG assessment is mentioned but those scores are often based on disclosure quality not actual impact. The real test is whether they publish a detailed TCFD or ISSB aligned report with scope 1, 2, and 3 numbers. Without that its hard to compare against peers like LONGi or JinkoSolar.

Trina is one of the bigger module manufacturers so their ESG moves matter for the supply chain. The desert restoration and solar-fishery projects are interesting applications. Would like to see a breakdown of how much of their own factory power comes from onsite solar vs grid purchases.
