Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has introduced two new EPDM rubber grades made from non-fossil sources, including used cooking oil and forestry residue. Developed with Arlanxeo, these materials aim to reduce the carbon footprint of industrial gaskets and seals by up to 55%. The new rubber grades maintain the same performance standards as traditional fossil-based elastomers. They are designed for use in various sectors, including automotive, energy, and construction, providing a sustainable alternative for high-performance sealing components.
