Liquid hydrogen storage at -253C is a massive logistical hurdle. It is fine for a race track, but how does this scale to a consumer supply chain without insane energy losses during liquefaction?

That is the real question. From a policy side, the incentives for hydrogen often ignore the carbon intensity of the production process. If this is gray hydrogen, the emissions just shift upstream.

The maintenance on a liquid hydrogen system for a regular driver would be a nightmare. I cannot imagine the service costs compared to a simple EV motor.
