Toyota Tahara Plant Achieves Carbon Neutrality
cleantechnica.comToyota has announced that its Tahara Plant in Japan is the first of its production sites to reach carbon neutrality. The facility used a combination of large scale wind turbines and over 1,200 solar panels to reduce its operational emissions. To reach the target, the plant combined renewable energy installations with internal process improvements and carbon removal efforts, such as forest management, to balance remaining greenhouse gas emissions.
