TotalEnergies has partnered with Masdar in a 50/50 joint venture to expand renewable energy capacity across Asia. The $2.2 billion deal combines 3 GW of existing onshore assets with a 6 GW pipeline of upcoming wind and solar projects across nine countries. This strategic move aims for full operational status by 2030. It marks a significant step in TotalEnergies' transition toward a multi energy business model, balancing its traditional oil and gas portfolio with large scale low carbon power generation.
